2008 Delegate Welcome Party - A Minnesota Red
Carpet Extravaganza

On behalf of the Minneapolis Saint Paul 2008 Host Committee we are honored to invite you to the 2008 Delegate Welcome Party – A Minnesota Red Carpet Extravaganza. The party will be a unique opportunity for delegates, alternates and guests to experience both Minnesota and U.S. history at CivicFest a Very Minnesota Celebration, held at the Minneapolis Convention Center. The reception will feature great food, open bar, entertainment and socializing, all while experiencing exhibits such as a replica of the Oval Office and a miniature White House.

The party kicks off Sunday, August 31 at 6 p.m. and goes until 8:30 p.m. After the party we encourage you to stay and enjoy Nicollet Mall, an upscale dining and retail district in downtown Minneapolis next to the Convention Center.

GOP Express shuttles will be provided from the hotels to the Minneapolis Convention Center. The Minneapolis Convention Center is within walking distance of several downtown Minneapolis hotels. Buses will depart from the Convention Center back to hotels after the party. Cabs will be available in downtown Minneapolis throughout the evening for those who stay after the party.
